Do you know that Christian Louboutin & YSL both use the red sole signature trademark for their shoe labels?

There's been a conflict of interest as to who retains the red sole signature trademark. It was the subject of a law suit which has been ongoing for over a year now. YSL was sued by Christian Louboutin for making an all-red collection of pumps with matching soles.

The court said it was ok for YSL to keep the red soles, in as much as upper body of the shoes are red, but Louboutin can vary its upper body colors yet maintain their signature red soles.  Somehow YSL has narrowed Louboutins trademark to apply only to shoes with different upper body color. Looks like a win-win situation to me.

What do you think?

Here's what both soles look like.

I can't begin to imagine if there was no such thing as a belt, hmmnn sounds weird right?

Belts are essential in any wardrobe and used by both male and female gender. This waist accessory, provides a finished look for an outfit.

Some helpful tips for men and women when belt shopping:
  1. The size of the belt -  belts provide a good proportion to your body, so you need to check it fits just right. Ideally, Its length should be slightly longer than your waistline.
  2. The width of the belt -  this should probably depend on the type of clothes being worn. Usually belts two inches and less in width size are suitable for formal outfits especially suits, while belts wider than 2 inches look best on casuals.
  3. For the male folk, you should make sure that the belt you choose matches your shoes perfectly especially on formal wears.
  4. Then comes the buckle, aka the most attractive part of the belt. You can choose different buckles depending on the occasion, mood and personal style.
  5. Your budget largely determines the kind of belt you'll be looking out for in terms of quality of leather, designer or other materials. Usually the designer brands cost more, however most of them are worth the investment since their components are carefully selected.

Belts are an everyday essential accessory  and they send a message about you, so ensure to make the right choices when buying a belt.

Have a fab week!!!
